On day 3 of the visit of the Evaluation Committee for the 2013 Summer Universiade in Gwangju, Korea, the FISU delegates went once more to the Kim Dae-Jun Convention Centre for a third presentation by the Bidding Committee. Topics of the presentation were the medical services, security, promotion, broadcasting rights, IT & communications and the cultural program. Medical Services In Gwangju there are 1,557 medical centres with 13,597 medical staff and 15,031 beds. Most of these medical facilities are located within 10 minutes distance from each sports facility. There will also be a Universiade assigned medical support team which will be on standby, 24 hours a day for the health of the athletes. Security Gwangju is a city symbolizing peace. However, to ensure the fullest safety during the Universiade, all security related public organisations, such as the National Police Agency, the National Intelligence Service, Gwangju Metropolitan Police Department etc. will co-operate combining a safety staff of 24,000. Promotion The citizens of Gwangju along with the rest of Korea are already rooting for Gwangju's efforts to host the Universiade and are fully supporting the Games. Promotion of the Universiade will take an omni-directional approach, i.e. promoting the event online and offline. The OC claims it will be an Olympic level promotion strategy. Broadcasting In order to achieve a global broadcasting of the Games, a cutting edge media system will be built to deliver related information and data in real time. The United Media Centre for the MPC, IBC and MBC will be set up in the Kim Dae-Jung Convention Centre. Within the centre a 195.5 sqm working space for 90 reporters will be set up as well. It will be equipped for telecommunications, CATV, information terminals, telephone services and electronic bulletins. Sub Press Centres will be set up within the main stadium, the Village and the FISU HQ Hotel.
IT & Communications An efficient operating system will be developed. To efficiently process data on the Games' results, data processing techniques will be developed for real time data analysis collection and transmission. These systems will be realized by an online based interface. Cultural Program Historically, Gwangju is a city of cultural arts. There will be a variety of cultural events during the Universiade. It will be a festival for youth and friendship in unity. The National Asian Cultural Centre (142,718 sqm) which is currently under construction will open its doors in 2012. There will be five facilities that can accommodate 237,000 people, 3 exhibition halls, 4 performance centres and 2 libraries. Prior to the opening of the Universiade up until the closing of the Games, a wide variety of events will be held there. After the presentation the FISU delegates had lunch together with student representatives of the 16 Gwangju Universities. Mr. Bergh thanked them for supporting their city and presented a FISU souvenir to Kim Young-Jin, the Vice-President of the Korean Student Federation.  In the afternoon, the Members of the Evaluation Committee toured the city again inspecting more venues. First they mounted in two helicopters for a 30-minute air tour of the city to have a good idea of where the new venues will be implanted and to overview all existing venues. After the helicopter ride the FISU delegates continued by bus to visit the sport facilities of Chonnam University, Gwanju Institute for Science and Technology and Gwanju University. Afterwards they returned to the Convention Centre for their internal meeting. The Evaluation Committee ended its three-day visit with a press conference during which Stefan Bergh, Chair of The Evaluation Committee gave on overview of the 3-day visit to the massive turnout of journalists and TV. In the evening the FISU delegates where invited by Mayor Park to the farewell dinner where the 6 FISU Executive Committee members received the Honorary Citizenship of Gwangju. Tomorrow, May 5th, Stefan Bergh, Michael Ralete Malumbete, Kemal Tamer, Stavros Douvis, Sinisa Jasnic, Hisota Igarashi and Christian Pierre (FISU Press Officer) will return home. On May 15th they will travel to Kazan for their last inspection visit. On May 31st the 2013 WU and SU will be attributed in Brussels. |

대한민국 광주의 2013년 하계 유니버시아드 평가위원회의 방문일정 3일째, 평가단은 광주유치위원회의 3번째 프레젠테이션을 위해 김대중 컨벤션센터를 다시 방문했다. 프레젠테이션의 주제는 의료서비스, 안전, 홍보, 방송권, IT, 통신과 문화 프로그램이었다.
의료서비스 광주에는 13,597명의 의료직원과 15,031개의 병실이 있는 1,557개의 의료센터가 있다. 이러한 의료시설의 대부분은 각 스포츠 시설로부터 10분거리에 위치해있다. 또한 선수들 건강을 위해 24시간 대기중인 유니버시아드 의료지원팀도 있을 것이다. 안전 광주는 평화를 상징하는 도시이다. 그러나 유니버시아드 기간동안에 철저한 안전을 위해서는 경찰과 국가조사안전팀, 광주시경찰 등과 같은 공공기관과 연계하는 안전성과 24,000명의 안전스태프와 함께 협력해야 할 것이다. 홍보
광주시민과 대한민국 국민들은 이미 광주의 유니버시아드 유치에 대한 노력에 뜨거운 성원을 하고 있고 유니버시아드에 전적인 지원을 하고 있다. 유니버시아드의 홍보는 다양한 방향에서의 접근과 예를들면 온라인과 오프라인 이벤트로 이루어질 것이다. 광주유치위원회는 이러한 홍보는 올림픽 수준의 홍보전략으로 이루어질 것이다라고 주장했다. 유니버시아드 대회를 전 세계로 방송하기 위해서는 최첨단 방송 시스템이 구축되어서야한다. 왜냐하면 관련 정보와 데이터를 생중계로 전파하기 위해서이다. MPC, IBC, MBC 연합미디어센터가 김대중 컨벤션센터에 마련되어질 예정이다. 또한 이 미디어센터에는 90곳의 기자들을 위한 199.5평방미터의 업무공간을 만들 예정이다. 이곳에는 통신, CATV, 정보제공, 전화서비스, 전자신문을 위한 장비가 설치될 것이다. 부 미디어 센터는 메인경기장 안과 FISU 본부가 머물 호텔에 설치될 것이다.
IT,통신 효과적인 작업시스템이 개발될 예정이다. 능률적으로 유니버시아드 대회 결과 데이터를 전송하기 위해서는 데이터 전송 기술이 생중계로 데이터를 분석 수집, 전송하기위한 용도로 개발될 것이다. 이러한 시스템들은 온라인 기반인터페이스로 실현될 것이다. 문화프로그램 역사적으로, 광주는 문화예술의 도시이다. 유니버시아드 기간중에 다양한 문화적인 축제가 있을 예정이다. 이런 문화적인 프로그램은 젊음과 우정을 하나로 만드는 축제가 될 것이다. 현재 건설중인 국립아시아문화센터(142,728평방미터)가 2012년 개관될 예정이다. 이 아시아문화센터에는 237,000명의 숙박이 가능한 5개의 시설과 3개의 전시홀, 4개의 공연장 그리고 두 개의 도서관이 있을 것이다. 유니버시아드 개회식 이전부터 시작되어 대회가 끝날때까지 다양하고 폭넓은 축제들이 이곳에서 열릴것이다. 프레젠테이션이 끝난 뒤, FISU평가단들은 광주에 있는 16개 대학의 대표학생들과 함께 점심을 했다. 스테판 버그씨는 그들에게 광주유치지원에 대해 감사의 말과 대한학생연합의 부회장인 김영진학생에게 FISU기념품을 전달했다. 오후에 평가위원단은 또 다시 더 많은 경기장시설을 시찰했다. 먼저 평가단은 어디에 새로운 경기장이 지어지게 될 것이며 기존의 경기장이 어디에 있는지 잘 보기 위해 30분간 광주시의 항공시찰을 할 두 헬기에 올라탔다. 헬기시찰 후, FISU사절단은 전남대, 광주과학기술원과 광주대학교의 스포츠시설 방문을 버스를 타고 이어갔다. 그 이후, 평가위원회의 내부 평가회의를 위해 다시 김대중 컨벤션센터로 돌아왔다. 평가위원회는 평가위원회 단장인 스테판 버그씨가 많은 기자들과 TV매체로 기자회견을 가지며 평가방문 3일동안에 대한 평가를 하면서 평가단의 3일간의 방문일정을 마쳤다. 저녁에 FISU평가단은 박광태광주시장이 주최한 환송저녁만찬에 초대되었고 그곳에서 6명의 평가위원은 광주명예시민증을 받았다. 내일 5월 5일, 스테판 버그씨, 마이클 라레스 말룸베트씨, 케말 타머씨, 스타브로스 두비스씨, 시니사 야스닉씨, 히사토 이가라시씨와 크리스챤 피에르씨(FISU 언론단장)는 복귀할 것이다. 5월 15일, 평가단은 마지막 점검방문 도시인 카잔을 방문할 것이다. 5월 31일 2013년 하계, 동계 유니버시아드 개최지가 브뤼쉘에서 발표된다. |
